FILM RESTORATION

As a lover of the cinema, preserving film history is by far one of the greatest (and most important) accomplishments of my career.  Throughout the years, I have assembled and led teams, working together in Mexico and The United States to save over 400 classic films.  The process is not necesarily an easy one and the language/cultural barriers, at times, could make it appear difficult.  However, our teams work together seamlessly as we are unified in our passion to preserve and protect art for future generations.  Starting in Mexico, the original prints of the films are scanned to digital 4K or 2K DPX files.  After properly QC'd, the new files are sent to our US offices for color restoration, audio restoration, and re-conforming the audio to sync with the video.  As the overseer of the workflow, our team uses the Emmy Award-Winning DaVinci Resolve color correction system, Lasergraphucs The Director film scanner and Digital Vision Phoenix restoration software to restore these treasures.

Who knew I would end up loving Santo so much!
